Respawn Entertainment may have accidentally revealed a new Apex legend sooner than initially intended after showing a preview of an upcoming episode “Stories from the Outland”.
The preview appears in the Apex Legends menu and depicts a character with dark shoulder-length hair, black smudges on their face and wearing a headset. They were only live for a short period of time as Respawn Entertainment removed it pretty quickly, but not quick enough for their eagle-eyed fans who are already discussing the sneak peek.
The post read, “There’s a new instalment of the Stories from the Outlands! Watch Survive and meet the new Legend joining the Games in Apex Legends: Hunted, coming August 9!”. Players also spotted that a caption said she’s “one of two people on her planet” which suggests she’s likely part of the “Nordic” characters.
The official Apex Legends Twitter has shared a teaser video with “Distress transmission incoming…” as the caption which is a major hint to the imminent landing of the new legend.
The legend shown in the accidental post does have a lot of similarities to Vantage, a new legend that was part of a huge Apex leak back in March. So from that leak so far, Newcastle, Crypto and Valkyrie heirlooms have been released, alongside some weapons. The remainder of the leaked weapons, legends etc are yet to be released. Whether they will be or not is uncertain but it looks likely following the current state of affairs.
