Amazon has confirmed it will be taking orders on PS5 launch day in the UK, Italy and Spain! Limited stock will be available to purchase online after 12pm UK/ 1pm CEST on 19th November.
“We will make every effort to deliver all orders as soon as possible,” Amazon said in an email alerting customers to the upcoming stock availability. “If you order, we will email you with an estimated delivery date. However, this may be subject to change.”
When PS5 and Xbox Series X pre-order went live in September, they flew out like hotcakes! Amazon was so panicked by the sheer volume of pre-orders that it warned some pre-orders of both consoles may not be fulfilled in time for launch.
Even more worrying, before the Xbox Series X launch, Amazon had more bad news for customers when it implied that pre-ordered consoles might not even arrive this side of Christmas! Imagine that, one of the worlds biggest eCommerce sites not delivering your pre-ordered console until over a month after launch day.
Those living outside of the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea have to wait an extra week to get their hands on the PS5.
The PS5 standard edition is priced at £450/€500/$500 and £360/€400/$400 for the Digital Edition. The only difference being that the latter doesn’t have a disc drive.
Sony has gone to town on their controller design and with some amazing launch titles, PlayStation’s fanbase will be more than happy on PS5 launch day. That’s if you get your console in time… we’ll keep everything crossed!
The question that remains is: what will you play first?
